Dr. Rachel Gougian, DO, D-ABOM, FAAFP
Family Physician & Founder of Pandora Family Medicine
Dr. Rachel Gougian is a board-certified Family Physician and Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine who is passionate about providing personalized health care. As the founder of Pandora Family Medicine, she created a modern private practice where patients receive attentive, comprehensive care without feeling rushed or overlooked.
As a family physician, she partners closely with patients to help them achieve their health goals through evidence-based medicine, preventive care, and sustainable lifestyle changes. Her clinical interests include obesity medicine, diabetes management, cardiovascular risk reduction, mental health, preventive medical care, and aesthetics. She is also a USCIS-designated Civil Surgeon and provides complete immigration medical exams in English and Spanish.
Dr. Gougian earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and she completed her Family Medicine residency training at Unity Health Care in Washington, DC. She holds a Bachelors in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Master of Science in Health Care Policy and Management from Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University. She believes that combining clinical expertise with a deep understanding of healthcare systems and patient advocacy is extremely important for delivering high quality care.
Today, Dr. Gougian is proud to serve patients throughout Maryland and Washington, DC at Pandora Family Medicine. Her mission is simple: to provide accessible, compassionate, high-quality medical care that empowers patients to live healthier, happier lives while feeling genuinely cared for every step of the way.
